As part of its commitment to educating the wider community, the Trust runs programmes to give adults the opportunity to learn to read, write and improve their basic skills. A number of income generating schemes are also being supported which give women help in setting up small business ventures. Pot painting, sari painting, embroidery and sewing are the programmes taken up by the women at present with eight income generating centres in Pedavegi and the surrounding villages. The income earned by these schemes will enable families to become self sufficient and reduce the need for children to work.
